BFRoe is an informational website covering topics such as education, careers, and related guides. Nothing on this site is professional advice.

1) What we collect
A. Information you provide (Job Alert form)
When you submit our Job Alert form, we collect the following fields exactly as shown on the form:
- First name (required)
- Surname (required)
- State (required)
- Phone number (required)
- Consent checkbox (required; you must agree to receive alerts and to this Policy)
Anti-spam: the form includes a hidden “honeypot” field to help block bots.
B. Information collected automatically
When you browse BFRoe.com, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:
- IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), device & browser type/version, OS
- Pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps
- Basic event data for security and analytics (e.g., error logs)
C. Cookies and similar technologies

5) How the Job Alert form works (processor details)
- The form posts to FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form relay service that forwards your submission to our email inbox. FormSubmit acts as our data processor for this purpose.
- Your submission is transmitted to us by email. We then use your provided phone number and consent to send the job alerts you requested. Standard carrier rates may apply.
- We do not enable CAPTCHA on this form; we rely on a honeypot field and server-side filtering for spam prevention.
Legal basis (EEA/UK): Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for alerts/communications and non-essential cookies; our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for security, fraud prevention, and essential site operations.
6) Sharing your information
We share information only as needed to operate the site and deliver requested alerts:
- Service providers/processors (e.g., FormSubmit for form delivery; email and hosting providers; analytics and advertising vendors such as Google)
- Legal/disclosure when required to comply with law, enforce policies, or protect rights/safety
- Business transfers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
7) Data retention
- Job Alert submissions: kept no longer than necessary to provide alerts and comply with law. Our default retention is up to 24 months from your last interaction unless you withdraw consent or request deletion sooner.
- Logs/analytics/advertising data: retained per our providers’ standard retention windows and legal requirements.
We will delete or de-identify data when it is no longer needed.
8) Your choices & rights
- Opt out of alerts: Reply STOP (where applicable), or contact us to remove your number.
- Personalized ads: Use Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com/) and industry opt-outs (https://optout.networkadvertising.org/, https://optout.aboutads.info/).
- Cookies: Control via your browser or device settings; withdraw consent via our consent banner (where available).
- Access/Deletion/Correction: You may request access to, or deletion/correction of, your personal data.
- Withdraw consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time; this won’t affect processing already performed lawfully.
Region-specific rights
- EEA/UK/Switzerland (GDPR): Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
